This walk requires reasonable fitness, climbing a 743m volcanic
mountain. allow 3 hours at least for the return trip. There are plenty
of steam vents and 2 crater lakes to visit along with info boards
explaining the flora along the way and how it develops as the
volcano cools. While shoes are OK tramping boots are better for some
parts you can use a road for the last part to the summit as the trail
is rather steep and can be slippery.
